God
This is a three session program perfect weekend retreats. The key
verses for each program are included. Using music, anecdotes and scripture,
we explore how we can all relax through laughter, release through
forgiveness and be relate through learning to be salt and light .
Program descriptions are included below.
Better Than Prozac!
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have
peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world." —John 16:33 (NKJV)
Laughter really is better than Prozac! Despite the stresses of life,
there is hope, and humor can help. Humor is a balm to the soul. We
all need it if we're to make it through life, because on the roads
which we all travel, there are bumps, and smooth spots, and sharp
curves, and potholes. It's just that some roads are bumpier that others.
During the hard times, memories of the good times somehow makes the
bumps a little smoother. Enjoy stories and laughter in this interactive
session perfect for any group.
Pinches of Salt, Prisms of Light: Being Salt and Light in the
world
Pinches of Salt, Prisms of Light: Being Salt and Light In The World
Based on Matthew 5:13-16, Pinches of Salt, Prisms of Light is an inspirational
look at how God is using many to share His love throughout the world.
In this program, Carmen inspires her audience to see how we all are
called to be salt and light.
Flight To Forgiveness
Carmen knows first-hand what it means to have to forgive. Infidelity
and other issues in her first marriage were hard to forgive, but the
lessons learned prepared her for an even greater forgiveness opportunity.
Carmen uses humor and honesty to teach a lesson we all need to learn.
Based on Matthew 6:14-15, Flight to Forgiveness has a vast appeal
for all groups.
Faces of Huntington's: Trusting God, especially in the worst
of times
One thing is true; in this world there will be tribulations. Regardless
of your trials, God is faithful and nothing is ever wasted in His
economy. Who better to tell those without hope that there is hope,
than someone who experiences it daily? After only eighteen months
of marriage, Carmen's husband began to physically and mentally fall
apart. With the diagnosis of a terminal neurological disease on their
third anniversary, her world was changed forever. While Huntington's
Disease has robbed her of much, God has blessed her abundantly.
Two Sides of a Coin
Is there any doubt that God is faithful? God has shown His faithfulness
to Carmen through her gifts and life's experiences. But God's faithfulness
is only one side of the coin. He calls us to be faithful, in spite
of our personal situation.
There's Always Room For Hope: How to be hopeful in a seemingly
hopeless situation
Where is the hope in a terminally ill husband, no income, and a forced
move 5,000 miles away from your support system. As hopeless as it
sounds, the situation actually got much worse. Through it all God
helped Carmen to understand that she can be Living Hope no matter
what.
King Brutus: God's grace and a dog
How can a dog teach you about God's grace? Through entertaining and
humorous, and often annoying adventure with a dog, Carmen came to
better understand about God's grace in her life. This is a wonderful
talk for everyone, but children particularly enjoy this message and
the presentation.
